You can register to vote when you are 17.5 years old, but you can't vote until your 18.

Voters who wish to register to vote after the deadline (14 days prior to an election and continuing through 8:00 p.m. on Election Day), can do so but must appear in person at the Vevay Township Clerk's Office and provide acceptable residency verification.  Documents must have your name and current address on them.

Acceptable residency verifications are a Michigan driver's license, or State ID, current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck or government check, and other government documents with your name on it.
